Self-hypnosis is a guided state of deep relaxation and focused attention. A recorded voice leads you into it, then uses imagery and suggestion to help you rehearse how you'd like to think, feel or react. You stay aware and in control the whole time, and you can open your eyes and stop whenever you want.
In the builder, you choose what you're facing, the situations that set it off, how it shows up for you, a safe place to imagine and the sounds you'd like in the background. Your session is assembled from David Boulet's recordings around those answers, so it speaks to your experience instead of a generic script.
It's real. Every word you hear was recorded by David Boulet, a certified hypnotherapist with more than 17 years of practice. Nothing is generated by a synthetic voice.
For most people, listening to a relaxation-based self-hypnosis session is a safe and gentle experience. Never listen while driving or doing anything that needs your attention. If you live with a serious mental health condition, such as psychosis or a dissociative disorder, talk to your doctor or therapist before you start.
No. Mind Refuge is a wellness and self-improvement tool, not a medical or psychological treatment. It can be a calming practice alongside the care you receive, but it doesn't replace a doctor, therapist or any treatment you've been prescribed. If you're in crisis, call or text 988 in Canada or the United States.

Stress and anxiety, and focus and concentration, are available today. Sessions for sleep, emotional balance and self-esteem are coming soon: you can sign up on their pages to be told when they're ready.
